Basis is the player your provider never shipped. Plug in the service you already pay for and in 30 seconds you get posters, continue watching, and streams that fix themselves. On every screen you own.
If it is not instantly better, delete it.
The service works. The app wrapped around it is the part you dread.
Ten thousand channel names, sorted by nothing, searchable by exact title only.
Then it hands you a black screen and a dead play button.
You finish episode 4 on the TV. The phone has never heard of episode 4.
Nothing you saved is there on a plane, in a car, or anywhere without signal.
None of that is your provider's fault. It is the player.
Basis isn't a subscription and doesn't sell content. It's the app your IPTV service never shipped: sign in once, and it's on every screen in 30 seconds.

Every panel below is the actual product with no content and no filler. This is what your subscription feels like inside Basis.
Tap to skip, hold to fast-forward, swipe to scrub. Nothing new to learn.
Multiple audio tracks, subtitles, and formats your device can't play, converted live.

Here is the honest version, including the four rows where they are still ahead of us.
Compared July 2026 against what each app publishes about itself. A blank means the app does not advertise it, not that it cannot do it. TiviMate and IPTV Smarters are other people's products and they ship on their own schedule, so if something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
After that, it goes back to being paid. Sign in before then and you become a Founding Member, which makes Pro for life $29.99 instead of $49.99.
Free stays free, no card. Pro adds sync, downloads, picture in picture and the encrypted vault across every device you own.
Free forever. Nothing here is a trial.
No card today. Sign in before August 31 and when Pro goes on sale, lifetime Pro will cost you $29.99.
Every platform. macOS, iPhone, iPad and Android on one account.
You can still own Pro. Sign in before August 31 and lifetime Pro will cost you $29.99 when it goes on sale.
Pro for life is now $49.99. The founder price closed with the beta.
Joining is free and takes one sign-in. What it earns you is the right to own Basis Pro outright for $29.99 when the beta ends.
Free to join, limited to the first 500 accounts, and closes August 31, 2026. Regular lifetime price is $49.99 after that. Your IPTV subscription stays your own: Basis is the player, and your provider credentials live on your device.
Yes. Basis is a player, not a provider. It hosts and sells no channels, movies or series. Bring the Xtream login or M3U link you already have.
TiviMate is the better recorder, and it does not run on anything Apple. Smarters runs nearly everywhere and syncs nothing between those devices. Basis is one account across Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android, a player that repairs its own streams, and your provider login encrypted on the device. Stop watching on one device and the next one already knows where you were, which neither of them does. Recording, catch-up and parental controls are on the way, not here.
Because your progress, favorites and saved providers follow you between devices, and that needs somewhere to sync to. Sign out and everything on the device is wiped.
Yes, and it is expected. Basis is signed but not yet notarized by Apple, so the first launch needs a right-click then Open instead of a double-click. macOS remembers after that.
Free stays free, forever. Pro features go back to being paid. Founding Members are offered Pro for life for $29.99, once. Everyone else pays $49.99, or $34.99 a year.
It is stored on your device with hardware encryption. Syncing an encrypted copy to your account is optional and off by default.
It is in testing and we are not putting a date on it yet. Pick iPhone and iPad on the downloads page and you get one message on the day it lands.
Not yet. There is no TV build for Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung, LG, Roku or Hisense, and nothing to sideload that would work with a remote. Pick your screens on the downloads page and the ones people ask for most get built first.
Announced, not shipped. Everything here is in build, and the public roadmap tracks it in the open. First up: an agent that searches plots, people and moods across everything you plug in, not just exact titles.

Every request is public, every vote is counted, and the release notes are on this site.
Download Basis, sign in with the service you already have, and see it for yourself. Then decide, when the beta ends, whether $29.99 for life is worth it.
