Why it went away: the old Mac build wrapped the web app in Electron. The replacement is a native Mac app sharing its core with the iPhone and iPad build, and rather than keep serving the version being replaced, the download is off the site until the new one is ready.
Installing: this is a direct APK rather than a Play Store listing, so Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser once. Phones and tablets both work. For a television it is the same file, installed a different way, which is what the next two cards are for.
Installing: there is no Play Store listing yet, so the file goes on with a free app called Downloader and a short code, which takes about a minute. Basis brings up its own remote-driven interface once it finds itself on a television. Sideloaded apps do not show on the Google TV home rows, so look under Apps, Your apps.
Check this first: Settings, My Fire TV, About has to say Fire OS 7 or newer. The older sticks run Fire OS 5 or 6 and the install will simply fail on them. What is still missing is an Amazon Appstore listing, not the app. Casting to a Fire TV is not available, because Fire OS carries no Google Play services.

The iOS app exists and runs. It is not on the App Store and there is nothing to sideload yet, so there is no honest button to give you here.
Listed so you are not left guessing. None of these exist today. Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV are the exceptions and they moved up to Available now, because they run the same APK you already get there. Pick one and we will tell you when it changes.
